Under the direction of Dr.Martin and Dr. Chung, the KMC Bariatric Surgery Center is providing a much needed service for the residents of Kern County.  Obesity has reached epidemic proportion and is widely accepted as the single most common cause of preventable morbidity and mortality.  Diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and sleep apnea have been found to be directly related to obesity and are virtually curable when obesity is under control.  KMC's Bariatric Surgery Center has performed significant number of Roux-en-Y gastric bypasses and has an excellent program and bariatric team to ensure success.  Please click the following link to learn more about our program.
